“Prosecutors, the Police, and the MJIB Work Together to Combat Bribery”

In order to declare the spirit of anti-bribery and make the citizens of New Taipei City fully aware of the government’s determination to combat bribery, Banciao District Prosecutors Office, Taipei County Police Bureau, MJIB(Investigation Bureau, Ministry of Justice), and Taipei County Probation Volunteer Association held a joint press conference on “maiden voyage of anti-bribery train” at the hall of Shulin train station on Oct. 14th, expressing the resolution of the prosecutors, the police, and the MJIB to combat bribery by a drama performance.

Greeted by the audience with a big round of applause, the drama, played by Chief Prosecutor Tsai, Bi-Yu(蔡碧玉，acting as the legendary Justice Bao--包青天), Director of MJIB Taipei County branch Chin, Tai-Sone (秦台生，acting as Sherlock Holmes--福爾摩斯), and Commissioner Lin, Guo-Dong (林國棟，acting as the legendary famous policeman Chan Chao-- 展昭), showed the government’s determination to combat bribery and reflected citizens’ high expectation of a fair and clean election with no bribery involved. Afterwards, Chief Prosecutor Tsai, the conductor of the anti-bribery train, the director and the commissioner invited all the participants on the scene to board the anti-bribery train, starting a trip form Shulin station to the administration center of Taipei County – Taipei County Hall in Banciao.

    During the voyage, the theme “If you bribe me to vote, I will send you to jail” was arranged in the content of drama, reminding all the participants of no bribery on vote. Participants were really impressed not only by the drama performed by “The Big Three”, but also by the theme song sung by prosecutor Su, Joseph, who is also a licensed street performer, at the destination. With his passion and enthusiasm, prosecutor Su successfully attracted the young by singing the song “Work Together to Combat Bribery”, the theme song of Banciao District Prosecutors Office’s Anti-Bribery Project.

    “Anti-bribery train is a brand new propaganda for anti-bribery activities”, Chief Prosecutor Tsai said, “and the maiden voyage symbolized the resolution of government agency to combat bribery in the following months. We believe the citizens of Taipei County will work hand in hand to refuse bribery on vote and get ready for a brighter and more beautiful future.”
